Broadband Justice Now

The Broadband Justice Act — introduced by Rep. Jamaal Bowman — would expand affordable broadband access to 8 million households by subsidizing broadband for families living in government-assisted housing, just as utilities like gas and electric are subsidized today.

High quality broadband allows people to enter a world beyond where they currently exist — and this has never been more salient than it has been in the COVID-19 pandemic.
